But the results show a particularly <strong>dramatic situation<\/strong> for young adults in the EU. 92 percent of men and 90 percent of women in the 18 to 35 age group have already witnessed digital violence on several occasions. Across the age groups, just under 30 percent of men and 27.5 percent of women have been personally affected by digital violence. The fear of stolen or faked <strong>nude pictures being published<\/strong> on the internet is particularly high among 30 percent of the women surveyed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hateaid.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/EN_HateAid_Diagram_Question-4.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hateaid.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/EN_HateAid_Diagram_Question-4-940x499.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5235\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"1-silenced-every-second-woman-is-afraid-to-express-her-opinion-freely-online\">Silenced: Every second woman is afraid to express her opinion freely online<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Through agitation, people are deliberately silenced and ousted from social media. This development can be seen &#8211; <strong>especially among<\/strong> <strong>women <\/strong>&#8211; in the survey:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>fear of hate<\/strong>, 52 percent of women express their opinions on the Internet less often. With the DSA, our EU policymakers now have a historic opportunity to establish clear rules to stop digital violence. So far, they have failed to do so, leaving social media users systematically unprotected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Togegether with an alliance of 17 European organizations, HateAid is therefore calling on the
